How to track competitors in three steps

Tracking competitors by hand fails within weeks. RivalIsm turns it into a routine that runs on its own: you choose the rivals, it reads the pages, you get the brief.

Step one, add your rivals

Paste the web address of each rival. RivalIsm finds the pricing page, the changelog, the careers page and the main product pages for you, and you can add or remove any page by hand. Most teams finish this step in about five minutes.

Start with the three to five rivals your reps hear about most. You can add more later, and each plan sets how many rivals and pages you can watch.

  • Pricing and plan comparison pages
  • Product pages and release notes
  • Homepage headline and calls to action
  • Careers pages for hiring signals

Step two, RivalIsm checks and compares every page

On the schedule of your plan, RivalIsm opens each watched page, stores a clean copy of the text and compares it with the previous copy. A change in a price, a plan name, a feature line or a headline is shown as a before and after.

Pages are public pages only. RivalIsm respects robots.txt, never logs in and never reads anything behind a paywall.

Step three, you get the brief and a current battlecard

Changes become a short written brief and an updated battlecard per rival. Each line quotes the page text it comes from, so a rep can trust it and a manager can check it in seconds.

Alerts go out by email on every plan, to Slack on Growth, and to Teams and webhooks on Scale. The weekly brief collects everything that moved.

  • Change feed with before and after
  • Weekly rival brief
  • Battlecard per rival that updates itself
  • Export for your CRM on Scale
